About Domenica
Domenica Di Toma was born in New York to second generation Italian-Americans. Her passion for reading—and, ultimately, writing—began when her mom rewarded good behavior by letting her check out extra books on their weekly library visits.
Her life has been shaped by global travel: Domenica spent two years traveling around the world in her mid twenties. She also lived in Australia for the better part of two decades. After eighteen years in marketing communications, Domenica earned a master's and PhD in Human Behavior & Marketing, and spent the rest of her career in academia until her early retirement.
Domenica is joyously married and has raised two amazing humans. Unlike the house plants she’s tried to nurture, the humans have thrived.
ELA
Can a forbidden passion survive a twenty-year separation, a kidnapping, and the pursuit of a brutal crime syndicate? Ela and Emre seek the answer to this question in Ela, the story of a woman discovering her own strength.
This romance/intrigue novel is a heart-wrenching tale of lost love and second chances.
From the beauty of Western Australia to the bustling city of Washington, DC, Jennifer Young has built a successful career and a fulfilling life, but there is one thing missing—true love. She tries and fails to feel what she felt so long ago, but no man can compare to the young Turkish immigrant Emre Sydin, who captured her heart and mind twenty years ago in Germany. Even though he was mature beyond his years, he was eight years younger than the then-twenty-four-year-old American traveler, whom he called Ela. At that point in their lives, the age difference was more than uncomfortable for Ela, and she knew it was a line she would never cross, so she did what she did best and ran away.
Decades later, when Emre executes a dangerous operation to take down a brutal criminal organization, Ela is thrust into an unexpected reunion with her long-lost love, and the spark between them reignites. But their happiness is short-lived, as sinister forces threaten to keep them apart once again. With the help of a diverse group of international allies, including ex-spies, German restaurateurs, and a young woman being held against her will, Ela and Emre risk it all doing whatever it takes to survive.
But the path to true love is never easy. As they fight for their love and their lives, Ela and Emre must also confront their past insecurities. Are their feelings based on memories seen through rose-colored glasses, or are they real? Will their love be strong enough to overcome the obstacles in their way, or will they be torn apart once again—this time for good?
Ela is a gripping and emotional love story immersed in intrigue and espionage that will leave you on the edge of your seat.
